IWMP-XVI, Keonjhar Block / PMKSY (watersheds) the Ongoing Programme
The Neulinallah Sub-Watershed, Keonjhar under Integrated Watershed Management Programme, being implemented by TADASHA as the project implementing agency (PIA), was commencing from on 01/11/2014 cover an area of 5252 Ha having ten numbers of MWSs belong to 28 villages. The activities taken up so far have been EPA / DPR / IB & CB / Creation of WCs. The budgetary provision of Rs. 787.80 lakhs is under schematic reforms and will be called as PMKSY (watersheds) placed with dot targets through convergence of synergies. The initiation of production chick pea seeds in selected villages under the entry point programme (EPA) has taken a paradigm stride. And moreover, the area was not only visited by the administrative / technical authorities but the departmental audit had been completed with satisfactory notes. Incidentally the PR Cell of the O/O hon’ble Chief Minister, Odisha had visited to video document the cropping of farmers in the villages.
The villages are also under convergence programme of “Swachha Bharat Abiyan” through construction of individual household latrines (IHHL) wherein the GP, “Handibhanga” is targeted to be the open defecation free (ODF) GP in the district. Besides, the farmer producers’ organizations (FPOs) are getting created to get linked to PMKVY and authenticate production systems and livelihoods
Projects on Pipelines
Under “Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojna” (PMKVY), the flagship scheme with a vision of “Skill India”, TADASHA is going to impart training in its standalone center at Gauratota Sahi of Keonjhargarh, Keonjhar to the targeted masses of unemployed youths according to “National Skill Qualification Framework” on various job roles for the farming and craft communities. The inclusive strategy is to form, establish, and march a movement of farming producers’ organizations (FPOs) of respective activity to guarantee self-employment.
Respective agro job based farmer producers’ groups (FPOs) are under way to be established not only to manage and mentor self-employment but institutionalize the business of farming in a steady, competitive, and sustainable manner through integrations and inclusiveness.
Respective projects based on the objects of the Society will only role play on time and will come into light.
